DCCEEW commissioned SPR to develop a calculator and report to assist in determining preferred policy/program settings for the CBD Expansion Roadmap. The calculator allows users to vary the building types covered; the years in which they are covered; minimum floor area thresholds; the scope of floor area included; the types of organisations covered; the scope of emissions disclosed;trigger types; frequency of periodic ratings, whether or not (and if so, when) minimum energy/emissions performance standards (MEPS) are introduced by building type, including Level 1 MEPS (less stringent) and Level 2 MEPS (more stringent);and many other factors. The project included training for Departmental users of the calculator and a follow-on report specifically on supermarkets.
