Pepper Money commissioned SPR to create a calculator tool, for in-house use, to quantify the greenhouse gas emissions savings associated with specific ‘green’ home loan portfolios.
SPR developed this calculator to estimate emissions savings associated with a range of National Australia Bank (nab) green loan portfolios, working with the limited data fields available. Key values used by the calculator include dwelling type, year of construction, and post code. No customer details were shared with SPR. The calculator estimates fuel and greenhouse gas emissions savings associated with each of the loan portfolio dwellings, compared to state/territory-wide averages, total savings for each portfolio, and the % emissions reductions compared to average dwellings. A similar tool was later developed for nab.
